Dear Sir
I had the satisfaction yesterday to hear from
my son of his safe arrival at Bonn & have been favored by Sir Alexander Johnston with the perusal of your letter to him. I beg to make my acknowledgements to you for your reception of the boy, and arrangements made, & to Mr Lassen for his kind care of him on the journey.
I subjoin
a copy of a letter I have written to my bankers and I beg you will draw on me payable at the house of Drummond [2] bankers, for £ 60, & in like manner half-yearly should this be a convenient mode
I have the pleasure to congratulate with you on the order conferred on you by
the King of Prussia
