I am much obliged to you for your introduction of </hi><persName key="5636"><hi rend="family:Courier">M</hi><hi rend="family:Courier;offset:4">r</hi><hi rend="family:Courier"> Hammerich</hi></persName><hi rend="family:Courier"> whom I have found a very lively and intelligent young man and a very respectable Sanscrit scholar. The bearer of this <persName key="7972">Dr Thülberg</persName> is also a student of Sanscrit – and a cultivator of other oriental languages. He is a member of the <orgName key="9670">University of <placeName key="2239">Upsala</placeName></orgName> and being on his way back to his own country is desirous of paying his respects to you – I hope you will find him as I have found him a very estimable person and one who merits your notice. It is nearly finished but requires for completion a few weeks more when I hope to find means of conveying a copy to you and <name key="3752" type="work">my predecessor in the work, <persName key="2566">Professor Lassen</persName></name>.
