We have now collected all that <placeName key="292">London</placeName> can at present produce, and they were dispatched a few days ago to <placeName key="171">Paris</placeName>, under Cover to <persName key="268">the Baron de Stael</persName>, who will doubtless forward them safely. The annexed list will inform you what we have been able to procure, with their prices. The bill was presented, according to your desire, to <orgName key="2410">Messrs. Tottié &amp; Compton</orgName>; but it appears they are not at present in condition to discharge it: we therefore leave it till we receive your further orders.<lb/>It will give me the greatest pleasure at all times to execute any commissions for you in </hi><placeName key="292"><hi rend="family:Courier">this metropolis</hi></placeName><hi rend="family:Courier">; or to afford my humble services in any way in which you may have occasion to command them.<lb/>Some time ago you mentioned, Sir, that if a <name key="9660" type="work">new edition</name> of </hi><name key="2434" type="work"><hi rend="family:Courier"></hi><persName key="2457"><hi rend="family:Courier">M</hi><hi rend="family:Courier;offset:4">r</hi><hi rend="family:Courier"> Black’s</hi></persName><hi rend="family:Courier"> translation of <name key="5297" type="work">your work on Dramatic Literature</name></hi></name><hi rend="family:Courier"> should be called for, you would furnish some hints for the correction and improvement of the translation.<lb/>I have the pleasure to say that the edition which we <milestone unit="start" n="43991"/>[2]</hi><note type="Notiz_zur_Transkription"><title>Paginierung des Editors</title></note><milestone unit="end" n="43991"/><hi rend="family:Courier"> printed is nearly exhausted; and though the demand now is not very considerable, we should not hesitate to speculate on a reprint if you could furnish us with any additional matter on the subject.
