It turns out to be an abridgment of that work, &amp; its proper title, as given in the epigraphs of the several chapters, is <name key="12050" type="work">Catʼhámrĭta-nidhi</name>.<lb/>A translation of the Panchatantra itself has been lately put into my hands. It is by </hi><persName key="3564"><hi rend="family:Courier">a Gentleman whom I knew in India</hi></persName><hi rend="family:Courier">, &amp; who died there a few years ago. I hope to have his fatherʼs permission to publish it.
