[1] [Vienna] May 21/[180]8
My sad pressentiment – might it deceive me this time and I be so happy to see my worthy friend once more before his departure!
At every event D[ea]rest S[chlegel] accept kindly and friendly the little book Y[ou]r M[inna] worked for you; surely you soon ʼill discover its beeing mixed with a part of herself and – what a grape signifies? – you know the name of that to whom Ms N[uy]s love letters [2] were directed – I dare say no more to nigth some hope remaining yet – though a request of Har[riot] she begs to give to Miss St[aël] the little remembrance only on the road and to led her guess the name. God bless you! Soon you hear more of
Y[ou]r S[incere] F[riend]
