[1] London 16 July 1837
My Dear Sir
This note will be presented to you by
Mr Robinson, the son of an old friend of mine, who after having passed some years at Oxford is about to prosecute his theological Studies in Bonn. But he takes an enlarged view, and is desirous of acquiring a knowledge of oriental languages & literature. I am desirous therefore of procuring for him the great advantage of your good counsel & advice in this matter, and I hope I am not using too great a liberty in asking you to give him that benefit.
I am glad of the opportunity
[2] of bringing my name to your recollection, & to assure you that I am, with great respect, ever faithfully Your’s
