    Collaborative proposal of the DFG project; packaging of 3,250 letters for the restoration studio of the SLUB

    Adaption of Kitodo-software as well as the documentation and edition software Research Network and Databank System (FuD) to the Dresden manuscripts in Trier
    July: inaugural workshop for the project at the Philipps-University Marburg

    The labelling of 3,651 letter manuscripts listed in Kalliope software
    The ULB Bonn, an initial partner, digitizes their manuscripts
    Printed letter editions are ascertained and digitized in Dresden
    Adaption and installation of the data by FuD begins
    July: workshop on applied edition projects in Marburg

    January: listing and transcription of the previously unpublished letters begins
    February: digitization of the Dresden manuscripts is finalized

    Roger Paulin’s biography “The Life of August Wilhelm Schlegel, Cosmopolitan of Art and Poetry” (Cambridge: Open Book Publishers) calls attention to Schlegel’s correspondence as evidence of his “effective involvement” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) in European literature and politics
