[1] Copehagen, 6 Nov. 1840.
Most honoured Sir!
The obligations, I am under to you for the kindness, you did show me during my stay at
Bonn, and the assistance you gave me in my study of Sanscrit, are indeed greater than I myself am able to express with words; and if there be any good in my edition of the radicals, whereof I allow me to present to you a copy of the first part, no one can better than I my self feel, how much I am indebted to your instructions. Therefore, if you would condescend to inform me about of your opion about the execution of what I have done, it would be of the greatest importance to me, and I doubt not thereby I would be able, to correct many mistakes in the following pages.
I am most honoured Sir
with the greatest esteem
your most grateful servant
NLWestergaard.

Prof. A. W. v. Schlegel.
