[1] Hyde Hall
Nov:
br:4:th
My dear Sir,
I am sorry to say, that I am prevented going to
Town tomorrow by the illness of my little girl who was to have accompanied me, & it may now be some days before I am able to go there, but not I hope so long as to deprive me of the pleasure of seeing you again [2] as Sir John tells me you are to be in London for ten days or a fortnight & I shall certainly inform you of my arrival there in the hope that you may be able to spare a few minutes to see me.
I should not have troubled you with this letter; but from the fear of your calling in Portland Place, which would have given you unnecessary trouble & have
[3] wasted that time which I feel must be so precious to you.
Miss Manning begs me to offer her best remembrances & I pray you will believe me
Yours most Sincerely
