My Dear Sir
I am glad to avail myself of Mr Rumsey’s visit to Bonn to offer you a testimonial of my continued respect and regard – a proof also that I am not altogether idle. The interruptions which I experience in England to the even [2] tenor of my Sanscrit studies are so numerous that I know not when I may again put forth anything worthy of your acceptance.
I have to thank you for your volumes of the Ramayana [3] which I have read with one of my pupils at Oxford – a scholar of high classical merit – I need not tell you that he admires your Latinity exceedingly.
Believe me
Yours ever sincery
HHWilson
