Not finding any account of my publications in the Jena review, as I had reason to expect from your obliging promise at Dresden, I beg you will do me the favour of returning Prof: Spaldingʼs critique of the last of them that it may be inserted in some other journal. I am equally obliged to you for your kind intentions; – but, why Mr Schutz took no notice of the above critique, nor admits your intended one, is a riddle I forbear enquiring into. – I remain, with great esteem, Sir.
