[1] 20th July 1817
I dare not intrude on the feelings of
M. de Staël or Me de Broglie so so soon after the Sad Event of Tuesday I write to you to beg you to remind them as soon as you find it possible that they have a fellow mourner in England. She whom we have lost would need no assurances of my profound attachment
If you have yet formed no Projects – should they be directed towards England think of me – & Command me –
This will be presented to you by
Mr Cohen a young Man of letters well versed in German & Scandinavian literature for whom I beg your Civilities – You can procure him [2] access to Libraries &c – Should you wish to write to me which I hope you will he will take charge of your letters – Remember me to Constant – Tell me how all the Friends of Me de S are –
